Welcome to AIASuccessor of VIA, founded in 1961 Upon decision of members´meeting on June 23, 2012 in Bonn the Academy of Iranian Physicians and Dentists in Germany, shortly AIA, (Persian: آکادمی پزشکان و دندان پزشکان ایرانی در آلمان) was established. AIA replaces the Association of Iranian Physicians and Dentists in Germany contemporary and compatible with its scientific contents and academic activities. The Association of Iranian Physicians and Dentists in Germany, shortly VIA (Persian: کانون پزشکان و دندانپزشکان ایرانی مقیم آلمان, shortly: کانون, Kanun) was founded on October 14th and 15th, 1961 in Cologne / Germany. From 1961 to 1980 the association's activities were centered on professional interests and social matters. These activities were almost completely suspended until 1988 due to the situation in Iran. During the following four years a reorganization of the association's structure took place. Since 1993 its objectives also include the realization of various national and international scientific and humanitarian projects. The association emerged as a respected scientific organization in Germany from modernization and restructuring in the years 2001 and 2002 and was accredited by the German Academy of Postgraduate and Continuing Medical Education, and the German Medical Council, state NRW. Professor Dr. Alireza Ranjbar, president and founder of scientific complex of VIA contributed exceedingly to this development. From 2001 till June 2012 VIA has organized forty-one postgraduate courses and continuing medical educational congresses which have been certified form the German Academy of Postgraduate and Continuing Medical Education and the German Medical Council, state NRW, and earned a total of 269 CME points. The VIA has assigned the dentists till June 2012 a total of 171 CME points on the base of scoring of BZÄK /DGZMK of the German Dental Association, and the pharmacist from November 2009 till 2010 a total of 52 CME points. From 1963 to 1980 VIA issued its publications in 38 volumes of the journal "Jahane Pezeshki" (World of Medicine), which was renamed to "Kanun Medical Journal" (ISSN:1617-6618) in 1993. |
